The Remains of Isadore McMurtlemumsy
I presented a new project this week at the Interactive Media Department’s weekly seminar.
It’s an interactive piece called The Remains of Isadore McMurtlemumsy about a clumsy little boy who keeps losing his body parts. There’s a full writeup (including video of the performance) at the link above.

There’s something funny about these kinds of projects that make them different from traditional magic… with “new media magic”, you need previous work that is well documented and is technically impressive but not impossible. With traditional magic, you only need to present something fantastic. Traditional magic seems to play off everyday expectations, but new media magic plays of expectations of new media.
